Challenge Day is a powerful, high-energy program in which students are guided through a series of experiential learning activities. The goals of the program are to increase personal power and self-esteem, to shift dangerous peer pressure to positive peer support, and to eliminate the acceptability of teasing, violence, and all forms of oppression. All incoming 9th graders participate in this program, with the hope that stereotypes will be broken down and common ground established amid diversity, inspiring students to live, study, and work in an environment of compassion, empathy, acceptance, and respect.

The M-A PTA sponsors Challenge Day financially and with parent volunteers. Hosting Challenge Day requires over 100 volunteers, so please consider helping us out. You won't regret participating in this unique experience.
